Experience
Self Employed

Conducting training classes in Statistical Process Control and 8D problem solving. Consultant and sales rep for the semiconductor industry. Teaching Semiconductor Processing Classes and Project Management.

Dow Corning Corporation Account Manager for the eastern US and Canada from July 2001 to September 2003. This was in direct support of the semiconductor industry. Selling low-k dielectric materials, packaging materials and services to semiconductor companies.
Self Employed Conducted training classes in Statistical Process Control and 8D problem solving for Motorola and Dell Computer. Developed course for Dell computer to train suppliers to Dell. I managed my own rep company - Integrated Sales and Services, representing GL Automation for sales of wafer handling equipment.
AlliedSignal Account Manager for Texas, Colorado, Idaho, Utah, Canada and Phoenix starting October 10th, 1995 till December 17th 1999. In addition I worked with my fellow account managers on accounts that had sites in both of our regions. I was responsible for forecasting accounts, building relationships with key customers and developing new business. Our products were low-k dielectric polymers, mostly based on Si02 chemistry. High degrees of purity are critical, as is the correct method of using the material. A lot of my time with customers was spent training them to use the material correctly. I worked with many R&D groups and development engineers to demo our products.

AlliedSignal bought Electron Vision in 1999 and my sales then include the EV equipment. This equipment was used to cure Photo Resist and Polymer films. Due to my background as a Photolithography Engineer I had been a very key player in getting demos and evaluations of Electron Vision equipment.

As our office was in California, and I lived in Austin, I learned to work independently and received outstanding reviews. In 1997 I received a corporate growth award for my contributions towards AlliedSignal business. This was a real honor because of the 78,000 employees only 120 awards were given. I set my own schedule and booked all of my own travel. I provided a monthly report, site visit reports, and a quarterly formal presentation.
Motorola My employment at Motorola began on May 15th, 1989. My last day was October 7th, 1995. During my nearly 7 years at Motorola I worked up from a Photolithography Engineer in the fab to taking over Poly and Nitride tech, and the characterization of those processes. I evaluated Critical Dimensions for Motorola fabs in Austin and Phoenix. I made modifications to etch equipment. Also, I applied for a patent for a system to dispense photo resists and received an engineering excellence award.

In 1991 I took a job as a Product Engineer. I worked for 2 years on an 8-bit microcontroller for Apple Computer. I worked very close with the customer as we went through several design revisions of the part.

In 1993 I was offered a job doing Customer Support for 16 and 32 bit microcontrollers. I dealt with customers every day on problems with the processors. I made many customer visits including trips to Canada, Singapore, and Japan. Did QSR at Nippon Denso (Motorola Foundry site).
Lightwave Electronics After graduation from college I worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Lightwave Electronics in Mountain View, California. This was perhaps the most exciting job of my career, as we were developing IR lasers for use in research and education applications. I had a small manufacturing line where I ran assembly, test, burn-in and packaging of the product for the customer.
Honeywell While in college I worked for two years as the weekend Photolithography Engineer. I spent most of my time keeping the photo equipment running, and doing characterization of the coat equipment. I also did a lot of document updating to government specs.
College Work I held a job the entire time I was in school, including Radio Shack, University Student Center, Peak Cleaning, Space Center III, and Seeger Homes.
